MommyWeek Four Year Bloggiversary
So I’ve been in the blog game 4 years! It feels like much longer than that because of all that I’ve done and experienced in such a short amount of time. This year I’ve been good at keeping a low profile and I haven’t attended as many events as I have in the past. My focus mostly has been on self care (because my sanity is so important), my family – of course you guys already knew that, homeschool, travel, and getting back to doing what I love.
Since I began sharing here four years ago, blogging has evolved, and seems to have become more video centered. While I won’t be turning into a YouTube star any time soon, editing video for hours isn’t my thing, I am enjoying sharing snippets of my life via SnapChat and Instastories. Those two platforms are where I’m posting daily, so if you’re missing more posts on the blog, come visit me over there! I enjoy showing a more personal side of my life and my daily adventures.
I’ve also been busy sewing and creating….sewing is one of my first loves! Hopefully I’ll share more sewing tutorials here soon. I’ve had people ask me via my Instastories about drafting patterns and it’s something that people have taken an interest in. I enjoy making my own patterns for my clothes because then I know what I make will fit just right, if not perfect.
My family also recently moved back into our home in the city after renting it to college students for almost four years. I’ve been doing a lot of DIY and fixer upper type projects that I’ve shared on Instagram. Some of those projects like my DIY kitchen re-do are going to show up on the blog very soon!
I’ve been all about living life easy going, and my family has enjoyed our summer thus far, doing things very unplanned. I have a Type A personality, but have embraced going with the flow.
I appreciate everyone that has been on this MommyWeek journey with me!! Stay tuned for more to come ❤️
