Weekend Getaway: The Chattanoogan Hotel
Recently my family took a quick weekend trip to Chattanooga, TN. For those in the Atlanta area, Chattanooga, TN is a two hour or less drive. Chattanooga is a beautiful city surrounded by mountains and the Tennessee river. The views are nothing short of amazing. We began our afternoon visiting the Tennessee Aquarium, and then checked into our room at The Chattanoogan.
The Chattanoogan Hotel is Chattanooga’s only AAA Four Diamond-rated full-service hotel. It’s located in downtown Chattanooga, but after check in, there was no need to leave because the hotel offers everything you need for an amazing weekend away. The foyer to the hotel was breathtaking. It was nice to just sit and chat near the fire. The ambiance was everything!
For families like mine, the hotel offers connecting rooms. The kids were able to have their own space to get comfortable in with a beautiful view of Lookout Mountain in the background.
My husband and I shared a King Deluxe Room, complete with an HD-TV, complimentary wireless internet service, a desk area in case we needed to get some quick work done, and spa quality bath products.
The hotel houses three locations for getting a bite to eat, depending on the time of day. There is The Stroud’s Sidewalk Cafe perfect for weekday mornings. The Foundry Lounge is a more upbeat type of restaurant perfect for a Saturday night, and then there is the Broad Street Grille. The Broad Street Grille offers breakfast, lunch, dinner and Sunday brunch. That evening we had a delicious dinner at the Broad Street Grille.
If you were wondering if this food tastes as good as it looks……the answer is yes! The Chattanoogan Hotel and the Broad Street Grille combined make for a perfect couples getaway and date night.
To finish off the perfect evening, we all relaxed in front of the fire pit located to the side of the hotel entrance.
After a beautiful evening with my family and well rested night of sleep, I headed to the Chattanoogan Spa for a relaxing facial. Every mom deserves a little vacation, on vacation! The spa offers services ranging from massages to nail treatments. I left feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.
Alongside the spa is the fitness center and pool. The pool is only 3ft deep, and perfect for the family to enjoy a fun splash!
Our time spent at The Chattanoogan Hotel was wonderfully relaxing and the hospitality we received was superior. I highly recommend visiting for a family weekend and seeing what Chattanooga has to offer, or as a couple’s getaway for a break away from the kids.
