Turban Tutorial
I’m finally sharing my Turban Tutorial! It’s really simple and easy. All you need is a rectangular, long scarf.
First you are going to put the scarf on your head, making sure it’s even on both sides in the front.
Next, tie the scarf in the middle by pulling one side over the other. Similar to when you begin tying your shoes.
Pull it close to your forehead. Make sure it’s not too tight or it’s going to be uncomfortable.
Starting from the base of the forehead, begin making a twist.
Continue twisting all the way down to the ends of the scarf.
Now you are going to pull the twist up.
Then take the twist around.
Lay the twist down on the side of your head.
Tuck the ends of the twist in the back of your scarf, at the nape of your neck.
And you’re done!
If you want to wear it at the base of your forehead, just take the twist and wrap it around in a circle.
Then simply tuck in the loose ends.

March 4, 2014 at 12:37 amAndrea, you can also loosen the twist and take it back from the middle of the forehead, then tuck in the back. That’s a whole other tutorial, lol.

August 21, 2014 at 1:47 amHey, Ashley! My hair is huge! How do I “minimize” my ‘fro so that the turban lays down properly?
Ashley
August 21, 2014 at 4:31 pmHey cousin! You have to wear your hair in a ponytail or braids or twists to lay it down. I wear a tiny headscarf under mine to make everything flat, then put on the turban.
