Summer Fun in the 2016 Kia Sedona
Even though the first official day of summer was just this week, we get the season started a little earlier here in Georgia. The temps soar in the mid 90’s beginning in May. On a recent hot weekend, my family headed to one of Georgia’s newest state parks in the 2016 Kia Sedona. Don Carter State Park was about an hour and a half drive from my home, and the Sedona had a full tank of 400 miles to empty when we began our drive. The Sedona gets about 25 mpg on the highway and 18 mpg in the city. I have to admit that I’m not a minivan mom. When I’m looking for cars, a minivan is usually the last on the list when I’m considering what to purchase. I think the Kia Sedona has changed my outlook on minivans.
The Sedona is pretty much at the top of the line when it comes to minivans. It’s complete with bells and whistles, safety features, and luxurious comfort. The interior features leather seating with ventilated and heated front and 2nd row seats. Of course I love leather seating with kids. It makes it easy to wipe away any messes that kids will inevitably make. The 2nd row seats both fully recline and have a little swivel action. It’s equipped with an entertainment system with DVD player and headphones for the backseat. This makes road trips much easier because the kids have something that occupies their time for longer.
The 2016 Kia Sedona seats seven, but has several different seat configurations. You can easily stow away the back seats to make more room for cargo. The trunk was made to be more deep instead of flat so you can fit and stack bags or groceries.
One of my favorite features in the Sedona is the 360 rear backup camera. It allows you to see everything around the car to get in and out of parking spaces easily. Since the Sedona is pretty big, this feature is really necessary. There are also sensors that will alert you once you’re too close to the next vehicle.
The Sedona has both front and rear sunroofs to allow as much light in as you want. It’s 2nd row windows also have shades to keep the sun out when your children are napping on trips so they won’t get too hot. The 2nd row power windows also let down completely for the times you want to turn the air conditioning off and just feel the breeze. There are so many awesome things about the 2016 Kia Sedona. If you’re in the market for a new car and looking for a minivan, I highly recommend checking this one out!
