Strawberry Coconut Chocolate Smoothie
It’s strawberry season! Strawberry picking is something my family looks forward to doing every year. It’s so much fun to get the kids involved in picking the foods they are actually eating. They kind of appreciate it more. I love the “Farm to Table” philosophy, so we spent the morning supporting our local farmers picking fresh strawberries.
We had so many strawberries to use! The first idea that came to mind was “Smoothies!” I ran into Walmart, and used this coupon http://goo.gl/vVdFMA to pick up some Carnation Breakfast Essentials Powder.
Carnation Breakfast Essentials Powder is a healthy option for the whole family because it has 21 vitamins & minerals, 13g of Protein, and as much Calcium as a 6oz cup of yogurt.
Some mornings I don’t have a lot of time to prep for a big breakfast, so this is perfect for busy moms like me.
- 2 cups of fresh strawberries with the tops cut off
- 1 cup of Coconut Milk
- 1 packet of Rich Milk Chocolate flavored Carnation Breakfast Essentials
- 1/4 cup of Angel Flake Coconut for garnish
- Combine Strawberries, Coconut Milk & Carnation Breakfast Essentials in blender
- Mix until smooth
- Sprinkle Angel Flake Coconut on top
- Enjoy!
This smoothie is so easy to make, and it’s kid approved!
Carnation Breakfast Essentials is available in a variety of flavors such as Classic French Vanilla, Classic Chocolate Malt, Dark Chocolate, Strawberry Sensation, a Variety Pack, plus the Rich Milk Chocolate flavor used here. It’s available in Ready to drink shakes, Powders, and Bars.
