St Jude Thanks and Giving
Many of my readers may not know that my middle son suffers from epilepsy. It’s something that we’ve dealt with for the past five years. I know what it’s like to be a parent and have to spend the night in the hospital worried whether or not everything is going to be okay. Medical treatments add up and the anxiety builds surrounding the costs. This is one of the reasons I love St Jude Children’s Hospital. Families who receive medical treatments at St Jude never get a bill for anything. Their travel, treatment, food, and housing are all covered so that the focus can be on the recovery of their child.
Thanks and Giving
St Jude Children’s Research Hospital is ranked one of the best children’s hospitals in the country leading the way in pediatric cancer research. Starting Thanksgiving weekend you can help to give back to this amazing charity. The St Jude Give Thanks.Walk. is Saturday, November 22nd across the country.
Another great way to help in the cause is to give a donation at the register of select retailers.
Some of my favorites are on the list:
Best Buy
Williams-Sonoma Inc.
HomeGoods
AMC Theaters
GameStop
Kay Jewelers
You can also make a purchase in the St Jude GiftShop and 100% of the proceeds will go back to the hospital.
BabyCake has this cute Cupcake Quilted Backpack to put all her things in.
This season, remember that #StJudeGiveThanks Day is November 24th & #GivingTuesday is December 2nd. All proceeds of funds raised will go to the hospital to help further childhood cancer research and give another child free medical treatment. To learn more about the St Jude mission or to donate visit StJude.org or find them on Facebook or Twitter.
Do your children suffer from any childhood diseases or disorders? Has St Jude helped your family in some way?
