In this post I share my ideas for rainy day fun for kids. Where I live it’s been raining almost daily. It’s more like early spring instead of mid summer. This has kept my usually busy and on the go family indoors. Too much time inside gives my kids a bad case of cabin fever.
Here are my ideas on how to keep the little ones occupied and you sane:
1. Go to the library
2. Make your own play-doh
3. Make your own watercolors and paint
4. Start reading new books
5. Head to the movies
6. Pull out crayons, markers and construction paper for a craft
7. Plant herb seeds for a windowsill garden
8. Go to the history/science museum
9. Go to the aquarium
10. Build a sheet fort/tent
11. Play charades
12. Play the quiet game
13. Put together a jigsaw puzzle
14. Bake cookies
15. Build a box car/house
16. Play Uno
17. Have a family room picnic
18. Build a tower with marshmallows and toothpicks
19. Play tic tac toe
20. If all else fails go play in the rain!
