Planes Fire & Rescue Review
On Wednesday the boys and I headed to Atlantic Station in Midtown to the screening of Disney Planes: Fire & Rescue! The boys have been excited to see this movie for weeks. They loved the characters in the CARS series, so I figured this would be no different. When we arrived to the theater there were firemen there to greet the children, plus they were able to take a short tour of a fire truck. It was a really cool experience.
Disney Planes: Fire & Rescue is an adventure comedy that follows the story of famous star air racer Dusty. Dusty finds out that his engine is failing him, and he causes a terrible fire and explosion that puts his hometown in jeopardy. He must leave Propwash Junction to train and become a fire fighting aircraft. Planes: Fire & Rescue is all about hope, courage, teamwork, and friendship. My boys were on the edge of their seat the entire movie. I loved the message the movie sends. One of the quotes that really stood out to me is “being a firefighter means risking your life for people you don’t know everyday.” Becoming a firefighter was Dusty’s second chance to show his friends back at Propwash Junction that he wasn’t selfish, and he cared about helping others.
Planes: Fire & Rescue was filled with funny moments and an equal amount of adventure to keep our eyes glued to the screen from start to finish. I really appreciated the message, and think my boys left more aware of the risks firefighters take everyday when helping others.
