Mom Confessions: I Snack Alone In The Car
When my children were toddlers, I learned early on that whatever you’re eating, they will want to eat it as well. This turned into me rarely being able to enjoy my meals or any indulgent treat. Ladies, I know you can relate! How many times have you had to sneak into the closet to enjoy a chocolate bar? Clearly I’m not alone in this!
Because we’re homeschoolers, I spend a lot of time with my kids. To get a little me time in, I grocery shop and run errands alone. It’s my weekly time of peace and I look forward to it. There’s a new Walmart in my neighborhood and I’m able to browse the aisles alone while relaxing. Typically on my shopping trips, I pick up a treat for myself and I sit in the car and eat it. There are no little voices asking for a bite or wondering what I’m eating. I’m usually grabbing cupcakes or cookies because it’s quick, but that’s not a good option for my waistline!
Now I have better options for snaccident’s in the car. While I’m shopping in Walmart, I grab a box of Fiber One Chewy Bars. Fiber One found at Walmart offers a variety of different snack bars that contain at least 20% of recommended daily value of fiber per serving.
Now I can get my chocolate treat fix in the car, and I don’t have to feel guilty about it!
Fiber One Chewy Bars are easy to just drop in my purse.
Fiber One Chewy Bars come in many different flavors:
Oats & Chocolate
Oats & Peanut Butter
Protein Caramel Nut
Protein Coconut Almond
Protein Peanut Butter
Protein Cookies & Cream
There are even delicious Fiber One Cheesecake Bars in:
Salted Caramel & Strawberry
Now on my weekly trips to Walmart I can get in my “me time” and have a guilt free snack. Fiber One bars are great to pair with other healthy treats like yogurt and granola, or fresh fruit. You can even make some yummy recipes found HERE.
Moms, have you ever snacked in the car?
