Memories Made During the Last Weekend of Summer
We had so much fun this past weekend at US Weekly’s Family Movie Night at the Avalon in Alpharetta! The weather was perfect for an outdoor movie on the lawn. This was my family’s first time at the Avalon, and we loved the atmosphere. We arrived relatively early, but the grass was already filled up with families ready for the show to start. We still snagged a great spot on the lawn directly in the middle of the screen. US Weekly and Orville Redenbacher’s Popcorn provided everyone with a cozy blanket to sit on while enjoying the movie.
Even though everyone was there to see a family feature, most of the enjoyment was had before the show started. There was unlimited Orville Redenbacher’s Popcorn to munch on under the stars. My kids had to go back for seconds before the movie even began!
The younger children enjoyed expressing their creativity on a giant coloring book and BabyCake even made a few new friends.
One of our favorite parts of the evening was creating an exciting flip book. The kids dressed up in amusing props, then took several pictures and it was all arranged together in their very own book to take home. I loved their styles!
The kids weren’t the only ones that had a great time! I ran into a few of my friends, and we were able to chat it up over Orville Redenbacher’s Popcorn while the kids played.
US Weekly’s Family Movie Night was the perfect way to spend our last weekend of summer. We can’t wait to have our very own Backyard Movie Night with Orville Redenbacher’s Popcorn this fall! I’ll be sure to share all the fun on how you can plan your very own movie night too here on the blog.
