How to Make Easy Mandala Coloring Pages with Cricut
I hope you guys are staying safe and healthy during this quarantine! I know for some stay at home mom’s like myself, our quarantine schedule started out not much different than any of our other days at home. But as the weeks pass, the days at home all seem to look the same, and some boredom can set in. It’s definitely a new adjustment for everyone. Thankfully my friends at Cricut sent me some fun tools to help me pass the time. I’ve heard of Cricut before, but I had no idea you could make so many fun things! Earrings, t-shirts, home decor, greeting cards, paper crafts, and more. The possibilities are endless! I love crafting, so I’ve been digging deeper into the many wonderful things I can make without leaving home.
You guys know, my self-care routines have always been important to me. I have a morning routine that includes meditation, having some quiet time alone while drinking coffee or tea, and I normally add in something relaxing like adult coloring. Adult coloring is something that I love. It allows me to express myself through art, and it’s definitely a form of therapy. Coloring is a perfect activity to do during quarantine. If you can get in some time alone before your kids wake up, I highly recommend doing it then. Or it can become a family activity, and everyone can do some coloring sheets together. All of the Cricut items in my blog post can be found at Target.com. I know how much we all miss Target, but we can shop online and have our items delivered or enjoy curbside pickup!
So let’s get into the tutorial!
Make Easy Mandala Coloring Pages with Cricut
I’m a Cricut newbie, and I thought there would be a big learning curve, but there isn’t! You can find all step by step instructions in the Cricut Design Space app. There is a breakdown of all materials you need, and full details on what to do. It’s definitely easy and fun! I decided to make these coloring pages because we already have white paper and color pencils at home. You need a Cricut machine, I used the Cricut Joy for this project, but you can customize the project for any Cricut machine, as well as a Cricut pen. The fine tip pen works best so that the lines come out small enough for you to color.
Head to the Cricut Design Space App, and search for the mandala images you would like to color. You can do this from your cellphone, tablet, or desktop.
Once you’ve selected the images, you may need to adjust the size depending on which Cricut machine you’re using. I’m using the Cricut Joy, so I had to make the mandala’s mini. The mandala’s can be cut or drawn. For this project, we’re drawing each one. So be sure to select draw instead of cut. If necessary, cut your paper to fit the cutting mat you’re using. Load the mat, and click “Make It”.
The Cricut machine will make creating each project super simple! I’ve created this tutorial in the Cricut Design Space App, so you can easily create it yourself HERE. The Cricut will do all of the work for you.
When you’re all done with each page, it’s time to color! I love that this project can be done with a Cricut machine, and supplies we mostly have at home. Paper and coloring pencils!
This is just the start of my crafting with Cricut! I have so many fun ideas in mind, so stay tuned!! Remember you can grab all of your Cricut supplies and machines at Target.com now! Let’s all create something beautiful!!
