Have you ever been to Piccadilly? I have fond memories of Piccadilly Cafeteria! My first time there was 13 years ago when I came to Atlanta for college. I had dinner with my Aunt and Uncle, and the food selection made me feel like I was home. The meal I had there was similiar to the types of foods my Grandma would cook for me back in Chicago. It made me feel warm and welcomed in a new place with unfamiliar faces.
Now that I’m out of college, and all grown up with a family of my own I’m more conscious about my food choices and what my kids are eating. That’s why I’m excited about Piccadilly’s new Homestyle Veggie Plate! You have the option of choosing three healthy sides and fresh baked bread for just $5.49.
Some of my favorite southern veggie options are on the menu, and they are so filling you won’t even think about not eating meat! This is perfect for my family, because my husband and I have made a point to eat less meat this summer for more energy. Whenever I go to Piccadilly Cafeteria I always choose the Carrot Souffle first, then Grilled Yellow Squash and Zuchinni, followed by Mashed Potatoes with Turkey Gravy.
Piccadilly Cafeteria first opened it’s doors in Baton Rouge, Louisiana in 1932. Since then the Cafeteria has evolved and there are 60 restaurants and 80 food service locations spread across the Southeast. For more info and to find a location near you visit their site Piccadilly Restaurants and find them on Facebook at Facebook.com/piccadillymeals, and Twitter @EatPiccadilly.
What’s your favorite meal at Piccadilly? What sides would you choose on your Homestyle Veggie Platter?
