In this post I share my Hershey’s Spreads Easy Hot Cocoa Recipe! Two weeks ago I received a jar of Hershey’s Spreads for free from Klout. I was in no way compensated for this post and all opinions expressed here are mine.
I was thinking up ways I could enjoy the spread because I love chocolate. So first I ate it with strawberries. It taste divine, of course! Next I thought this would taste really good in hot chocolate. So I came up with this super simple Hershey’s Spreads Easy Hot Cocoa Recipe.
You need:
2 cups of whole milk
3 tablespoons of Hershey’s Spreads Chocolate
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
(For the whipped cream)
8oz of heavy whipping cream
1/4 cup of powdered sugar
sugar & cinnamon to sprinkle on top
First place the milk, chocolate, and vanilla in a medium saucepan over low heat. Whisk until the Hershey’s Spreads is thoroughly mixed. Make sure not to let the milk boil. Once it’s hot, but not boiling, remove from heat and pour in a mug.
Next you are going to make the whipped cream. Pour 8oz of heavy whipping cream in a mixing bowl. Place 1/4 cup of powdered sugar in the whipping cream.
Mix heavy cream and sugar with a hand mixer on high speed until stiff peaks form. This takes about 4 minutes of mixing.
Scoop the whipped cream and place it on top of the hot cocoa already in the mug. Sprinkle a little cinnamon and sugar on top as a finishing touch and enjoy!
