My husband and I received a complimentary stay at the Gulf Place Cabanas to facilitate this review. All thoughts and opinions expressed here are my own!
Gulf Place Review
Gulf Place is a cute, family friendly resort located in South Walton, Florida. South Walton is made up of 16 beautiful unique beach neighborhoods. The Gulf Place community consists of Cabanas and Inns, shopping, dining, and lots of fun beach activities. My husband and I made the short drive from Atlanta to Gulf Place last week…… Kid free! It was a much welcomed vacation for us, since we haven’t done any trips without our children for a few years. The drive to South Walton was about 300 miles, that took around 5 hours. So really a hop, skip and a jump from Atlanta!
Upon our arrival I noticed the beautiful accommodations. The landscaping was pristine and picturesque.
There were several cute shops and restaurants located inside the resort. Everything is located inside Gulf Place, so there is really no need to leave. You can go straight from your Cabana to the beach, pool, and shopping.
Once we entered our Cabana at Gulf Place, ResortQuest by Wyndham Vacation Rentals provided a wealth of resources for us to ease into our stay. Each Cabana has a full kitchen to make your stay feel like a home away from home. You all know I love to cook, even when on vacation!
The dining area was right off the kitchen, along with Television and DVD player if we chose to relax on the couch or have dinner together inside.
The living room area was quite cozy, equipped with a sleeper sofa if we had extra guests.
Each Cabana has these cute bunk beds that would have been perfect if the kids had tagged along with us.
The Master suite was complete with unique Gulf accents.
The bathroom was connected to the Master Suite, but right off the hallway with the bunk beds, just in case kids have any late night emergencies and have to run to the bathroom. I loved the Bath & Body Works toiletries!
My favorite part of the Gulf Place Cabanas was the balcony that lead to this amazing view! The pool was located right below our balcony. We had a partial view of the ocean from our room, plus the lake surrounding the property. It was lovely!
The entry to the beach was just a short 500 feet from our Cabana. So we could go right from our room, to the Ocean!
South Walton Beaches have amazingly beautiful white sand! Our time spent there was wonderful!
Unfortunately our stay at Gulf Place was cut short due to a maintenance issue, but ResortQuest by Wyndham Vacation Rentals handled our needs in a swift and prompt manner. I loved the great professional customer service provided to us from the manager of the property. Our stay was continued at Leeward Key on Miramar Beach in South Walton, Florida. Stay tuned for that review soon!

July 31, 2014 at 4:01 pmThis is every bit depressing as it is awesome. Lol! A girl can dream. Glad you and the hubby could get in some alone time at such a nice beach. Can’t wait to see how your stay at the other hotel went.

July 31, 2014 at 5:14 pmSounds like a fabulous place! Me and Mr. M had alone time the beginning of summer. But as for a vacation alone, it has been a long time.
I have been to gulf port area of Florida last year and loved it! We went to Destin and Pensacola on our road trip last year.
