Georgia Aquarium Festival of the Season
From now until Christmas day, Georgia Aquarium is celebrating the Festival of the Season. If your family is looking for something to do during winter break, it would be a great idea to check it out. The aquarium is open 365 days a year, with adjusted hours through the end of the year. My family stopped by the aquarium this week for some winter fun.
Georgia Aquarium has been transformed into a winter wonderland. In addition to the amazing sea creatures, the galleries are festive. In the atrium of the Aquarium you will find a beautifully decorated tree along with carolers as well as performances. At the beginning of every hour you can see a special lights and music show.
If you happen to be at the Aquarium Thursday-Sunday you’ll see a guest appearance made by SCUBA Claus during the 12pm & 12:30pm dive shows in the Ocean Voyager Gallery. The Ocean Voyager is our favorite part of the aquarium.
The tank holds 6.3 million gallons of water and houses 3 whales sharks, 4 manta rays, and several other species of sea creatures. It’s completely mesmerizing.
On the upper level in the 4D theater, The Polar Express 4-D Experience is playing every half hour. The show is based on the award winning children’s book by Chris Van Allsburg.
Before leaving the aquarium don’t forget to see the AT&T Dolphin tales educational presentation. This is a totally new show for guests to learn about dolphin training and behavior. Our time spent at Georgia Aquarium is always enjoyable and educational.
