Four Kid Approved Smoothie Recipes
I’ve been looking for new ways to boost my families immune system. We haven’t had a cold yet this year, and going into spring with the fluctuating temperatures I hope to keep it that way. I decided to try an old school method of giving everyone a tablespoon of cod liver oil daily. It’s something I remember doing growing up. Every morning I would have a tablespoon after breakfast. I didn’t like the flavor, and I didn’t expect my children to like it either. We don’t always enjoy what’s good for us! Instead I’ve decided to serve smoothies after the tablespoon of cod liver oil. My children really look forward to the new smoothie flavors.
I’ve prepared my smoothies daily with my new Nutri Ninja Auto-iQ. The Nutri Ninja Auto-iQ completely blends while maintaining the nutrient properties in fruits and veggies. It’s even strong enough to blend and crush ice. You simply choose the setting that you want, and the Auto-iQ senses when your fruits and vegetables have been completely blended. The results are a smooth, creamy smoothie every time.
Out of the box their are 8 pieces to make up the Nutri Ninja. I like to use the Nutri Ninja cups for myself. They are perfect for smoothies or protein shakes after a workout. It also comes complete with lids, as well as a double walled stainless steel cup that will keep drinks cold for up to four hours. If you want to make cookie dough or bread, a dough blade is also included. I may put it to use for BabyCake’s birthday next week.
My children love fruit and vegetable smoothie blends. This is such an easy way to get them to eat their vegetables with no problems. I use juice for sweetness and there are no added sugars.

Smoothies aren’t the only thing that I’ve made in my Nutri Ninja Auto-iQ. It makes the best quick and easy salsa and I’ve also used it to make the base for my curry sauce. For more recipes and to get info on the Nutri Ninja Auto-iQ head to NinjaKitchen.com!
