My family received complimentary passports to San Antonio to visit some of the attractions highlighted in this post. All opinions expressed here are my own.
Family Travel: San Antonio
Better late than never, right?! This past November my family and I traveled to San Antonio where I spoke at the Be Blogalicious Conference and represented Toyota as an Official Brand Ambassador! In between all the conference business I was able to take the kids to see some awesome San Antonio sites and landmarks.
Our hotel was about a block away from the Alamo, so we were able to visit there twice. Homeschool was totally happening on the road with this history lesson!
We took a scenic ride down the San Antonio River Walk and learned about more history there.
We made our way back over to the Alamo Plaza area to check out the Guinness Book of World Records Museum.
This was especially exciting for my oldest son because he has a few Guinness Book of World Records that he studies, so he was able to see some of the artifacts up close and personal.
Next up on the Alamo Plaza we checked out Louis Tussaud’s Waxworks. This building housed over 200 life like figures of celebrities.
Does this guy really look like Eddie Murphy?
We had fun checking out the attractions and learning more about the history and culture of San Antonio. For more info on what to do and where to stay check out VisitSanAntonio.com!
Have you ever been to San Antonio before?

January 15, 2015 at 9:37 amThanks for sharing, Ashley! I never thought about visiting San Antonio before, but it looks like a really cool place to take the kids. The wax figure that is supposed to be Eddie Murphy really looks more like Nipsey Russell, but I guess it’ll do–lol! Glad you guys had fun–we will definitely have to check it out. How close is it to Dallas? We are supposed to be going there later on this year, InshaAllah, and if it’s close, maybe we could ride over. Take care!
