Essentials For The Perfect Park PlayDate
with Chevrolet Traverse
Are your children experiencing mid-summer boredom? If you’re thinking up ideas of what to do with them, look no further! Today I’m sharing some essentials you need to pack in the car for the perfect park playdate! Not just any car, but the Chevrolet Traverse. As a busy mom with three kids, the thing I look for most in a vehicle is space. Kids are always looking to bring something extra in the car, and I have to make room for all the goodies we take to the park for fun.
The 2015 Chevrolet Traverse is a midsize SUV that seats up to 8*, so you can pick up a few friends before you head to the park, if you have a family of 5 like me. The 2015 Traverse offers best-in-class maximum cargo space so you can fit all of these fun items in the back. As a mom, I’m always concerned about my family’s safety in the car. The 2015 Chevrolet Traverse has a 5-Star Overall Vehicle Score for safety**.
Now for the essentials! If you’re headed to the park with friends for a fun playdate, these are a few things you’ll need to pack with you to enjoy the day.
- Ride-Ons – Our favorite ride-ons of choice are usually scooters. You can pack bikes as well with all the cargo room in the Traverse.
- Skates – Inline skates or traditional ones. Don’t forget your safety gear!
- Bubbles – Kids of all ages enjoy bubble fun!
- Busy Basket – I actually love to keep what’s called a “Busy Basket” in the car. You can fill it with books, or small toys to keep kids occupied in the backseat. These are also perfect for road trips.
- Blankets – Enjoy sitting on a picnic blanket in the grass reading a good book or chatting with your friends as the kids play together.
- Soccer Ball – Even if kids don’t know how to really play the sport, they still love running behind and kicking a soccer ball.
These fun essentials will get your family through a summer afternoon at the park and keep the kiddos entertained for hours.
With spacious seating, ample cargo space and available safety and entertainment technologies, there’s no better vehicle to bring the family together than the Chevrolet Traverse.
What does your family have planned for the Summer?

July 6, 2015 at 2:58 pmWe have a busy bag, bubbles and blankets for play dates. Z has been pretending skating so maybe I can find her some toddler skates and full body protective hear. LOL!
I’ll only add a ball if you are with me because you know who is a runner! I can’t keep up.
