By now you all know I love to cook, but sometimes it’s harder for me to get into baking. On occasion I like to take a few shortcuts when it comes to creating desserts. That’s why I was excited about trying out Edwards Desserts for this review and giveaway! I was given coupons by Edwards Desserts for free full sized pie and I’m giving away 6 coupons to you guys for your own pies this holiday season!
For more than 50 years, Edwards Desserts have delighted those looking for a little taste of indulgence. With luscious layers of decadence, in whole pies and single-serve, Edwards Desserts are perfect for any occasion or no occasion at all this holiday season. With a wide variety of classic and unique flavors, you’ll find everything you want and more from Edwards® premium pies. Popular flavors include Hershey’s® Chocolate Crème Pie, Salted Caramel, Key Lime, Banana Crème, Georgia Pecan and many more! Edwards is available at your local grocery store.
First I chose the Georgia Pecan Pie. On the box the pies say Ready to Eat, but it actually require a little bit of preparation. The Georgia Pecan Pie has to go in the oven for about 15 minutes and stand for 5 more minutes before it’s ready to eat. Make sure you let the pie stand the extra 5 minutes. I didn’t and it crumbled when I went to slice it. Crumbly pie made for a messy presentation. I served mine with a little whipped cream on top. Surprisingly this pie tastes a lot like homemade. My family really enjoyed it.
Next I tried the Hershey’s® Chocolate Crème Pie. This pie also says Ready to Eat on the box but requires to be thawed for 3-4 hours in the fridge before serving. Now this pie……. I didn’t share! I waited until after my kids were in the bed for some “me time” and created a cafe like experience at home with a cup of coffee to accompany it. The Hershey’s® Chocolate Crème Pie has a velvety smooth texture, and tastes super rich. It’s great for chocolate lovers like myself.
For my readers that celebrate the holiday season, Edwards Desserts wants to share this jingle with you:
