Easy Ragú Chili Mac Casserole
Sometimes I cook complex meals, that can take a lot of time to prep. But as a busy mom, there are always those days that I just need to knock out a quick and easy dinner. That’s where a simple casserole comes into play and I created this Easy Ragú Chili Mac Casserole! Casseroles are a family favorite, and only take about 30 minutes to make from start to finish.
For this Easy Ragú Chili Mac Casserole I used Ragú® Old World Style® Traditional Sauce.
“Ragú® Old World Style® Traditional Sauce is made with 11 juicy tomatoes making it its richest, thickest recipe.”
- 1 lb. lean ground beef
- 1 jar (1 lb. 8 oz.) Ragu® Old World Style® Pasta Sauce
- 1 medium diced onion
- 1/2 green pepper diced
- 1 ½ Tbsp. chili powder
- Cilantro to garnish
- Salt & Pepper to taste
- 8 ounces elbow macaroni, cooked and drained
- 2 cups Mexican Blend Cheese
- Preheat oven to 350F
- First saute diced onions and green pepper until translucent.
- Next cook ground beef, seasoned with salt & pepper in large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally, until done.
- Then stir in Pasta Sauce and chili powder. Bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat to low and simmer covered 10 minutes.
- Stir in macaroni then transfer to a casserole dish.
- Cover with Mexican Blend Cheese.
- Bake for 15 minutes until bubbly and cheese is slightly browned.
- Serve with cilantro.
- Enjoy!
