Easy Homemade Salsa for Game Day

Football season is upon us! I promised myself that this season, I would learn how to follow the game. I want to be excited about football, but I don’t know what’s going on! Some of my best friends love the sport so I’m going to have them teach me what the plays are, and all the rules to the game. In the meantime, I enjoy entertaining and hosting parties so I planned my very own “Homegating” gathering!

“Homegating” is just like tailgating, but from the comfort of your own home! You get to prepare delicious foods that complement game day, without doing it from your car or the stadium parking lot. I love fresh authentic salsa, and it’s so easy to make at home, plus perfect to snack on during the game. I only used 6 ingredients, and the salsa was ready to serve in less than five minutes. It’s quick and easy, and your guests will love it.

The main ingredient in my easy homemade salsa is Hunt’s Tomatoes. Hunt’s Tomatoes are 100% all natural and gluten free. The tomatoes were grown right here in the US, on California farms and peeled with fresh steam. Using Hunt’s Tomatoes saved me so much time making this savory salsa, that I was able to spend more time enjoying my visitors!

Ingredients

1. 1 can Hunt's Tomatoes Petite Diced with juice
2. 1/2 diced red onion
3. 1/2 diced jalapeno
4. 2 diced garlic cloves
5. Juice from 1/2 lime
6. Palm full of cilantro

Instructions

1. Place all ingredients in a blender or food processor and pulse until desired consistency.
2. Serve with fresh tortilla chips.
3. Enjoy!
