Spring Cleaning Made Easy for Moms
I love the spring! It’s one of my favorite seasons. We had a pretty mild winter here in Georgia, but I still like to spruce things up, change the decor a little, and do some deep cleaning. My family happens to be home all of the time. My husband and I both work from home, and my children are homeschooled. It’s inevitable that our house needs to be tidied up often.
With everyone home and my busy life, when do I have time to clean?! Honestly cleaning seems to be an all day task, but here are a few ways I make it easier.
1. Create a chore chart – I use a chalkboard that hangs in our kitchen for this. I assign each child of my children an age appropriate task daily. Everyone has daily chores, and we have weekly chores.
2. Tidy up at the end of the day – After my kids are in bed, I go around and make sure everything is in its place. This means that we’ll wake up to a clean home the next day.
3. Save deep cleaning for the weekend – I like early Saturday or Sunday morning for deep cleaning. I tackle the toughest jobs like cleaning the bathrooms myself. I leave scrubbing base boards, dishes, and folding laundry for the children.
Cleaning doesn’t have to be an overly exhausting process. That’s why I like to use Scrubbing Bubbles® in the bathroom. I pick it up in the home cleaning aisle on my weekly shopping trip to Walmart.
It’s thick and foamy solution clings to surfaces to clean away soap scum easily and gets into all of those hard to reach places. I let it stand for a few minutes to make sure it’s cleaning up all of the griminess in the sink and shower.

I let it stand for a few minutes to make sure it’s cleaning up all of the griminess in the sink and shower. We actually have three bathrooms, so I like that I can spend less time cleaning them because Scrubbing Bubbles® penetrates dirt quickly. It kills 99.9% of viruses and bacteria, and you know with three kids that’s a plus!
*When used as directed, kills Herpes Simplex Virus Type 1, Herpes Simplex Virus Type 2, Influenza A (H1N1) Virus, Respiratory Syncytial Virus, Rotavirus, Staphylococcus aureus (Staph), Salmonella enterica (Salmonella), Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Enterobacter aerogenes, Escherichia coli (0157:H7) (E. coli), Listeria monocytogenenes, Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA)
I know that when I’m finished, my bathrooms are actually clean and smell great.
Do you have any tried and true methods for making spring cleaning easier?
