5 Beauty DIY’s with Vaseline
I love DIY spa treatments! As mom’s we sometimes forget about taking care of ourselves, so these 5 Beauty DIY’s with Vaseline Jelly, also known as “Healing Moisture Recipes” are going to help you do just that. They are easy to do, and cost effective.
Discovered in 1870, Vaseline Jelly is the original dry skin healer, and to this day it still effectively locks in moisture to deeply heal dry skin. Triple purified to be 100% pure and safe, Vaseline Jelly has many protective and preventative uses, including personal care, baby, beauty, athletic, and more.
Healing Moisture Recipes
Body Scrub
I love body scrubs! They make your skin feel extra soft. To do this one, you need to mix 2 tablespoons of Vaseline Jelly with 1 tablespoon of sea salt. Apply the scrub to your body and rub in a circular motion to gently buff and get rid of dry skin. Rinse scrub off with warm water, then apply a thin layer of Vaseline Jelly to moisturize and heal dehydrated skin.
Foot Treatment
For this Vaseline Jelly Foot Treatment, all you need is your coziest pair of socks and Vaseline. Before you go to sleep, apply a layer of Vaseline Jelly to your heels and the balls of your feet. Next cover your feet with your really thick and soft pair of socks. This Foot Treatment works overnight, so when you wake up and remove your socks, you should have the softest feet ever! For the best results, do this Foot Treatment once or twice a week.
Dual Purpose Eye Makeup Remover
I’ve seen lots of expensive eye makeup removers. Did you know they aren’t necessary?! All you need is Vaseline Jelly and a face towel. Apply a little bit of Vaseline to the towel, and gently rub it across your closed eyelid until all of your makeup is gone. For an added level of protection, add Vaseline Jelly to your eyelids to seal in moisture. Lastly you can apply Vaseline Jelly to a Q-tip and dab it gently under your eyes to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Manicure Treatment
I love doing my own nails at home. I like to switch finger nail polish colors often, and constant use of remover can dry out my skin. This Vaseline Jelly Manicure Treatment can help prevent dry cuticles and restore moisture in your hands. First apply a dab of Vaseline Jelly to fingernails. Massage into each finger for five seconds. Next trim and style nails as desired, then paint with your favorite pop of color. Using a Q-tip you can place Vaseline Jelly on the rim of each nail to prevent polish from sticking.
Moisturizing Hand Cream
This Beauty DIY with Vaseline Jelly is done at night. Before bed, apply a layer of Vaseline Jelly to your entire hand. Next cover your hands with a pair of cotton gloves. Let them soak in the Vaseline Jelly overnight. When you wake up in the morning, remove the gloves and you should have extra soft hands!
Are you going to try any of my 5 Beauty DIY’s using Vaseline? Do you have any other Vaseline Jelly Beauty DIY’s to add?

March 18, 2014 at 11:23 pmI am a firm believer and cult follower of Vaseline! It is the all around go to for so many things. I use it for pedicures and for quick dry skin relief with socks, as a face moisturizer, cracked elbows, a gloss over lipstick, and I also mix it with shimmer for a nice glow and light shine on my legs. I even use it in place of blush for a dewy look without adding color. Yes I am an addict! I am definitely going to try your Vaseline body scrub.

March 20, 2014 at 11:12 amYes, the older women in my family swear by Vaseline. I use it (at times) but I should use it more since it does so much. This is a great post, especially the foot treatment that can get me through between pedis. 🙂

April 15, 2014 at 6:29 amI need to get on that foot treatment kick, as soon as I get rid of some of this dead skin (TMI) so the Vaseline can really penetrate.
