In this post I share my Crab Cake Burger Recipe! Last week I made Sweet Potato Fries and Crab Cake Burgers. It’s a nice alternative to the regular old burger and fries at home. They are actually pretty quick and easy to make, plus the whole family loves them.
Here’s what you need:
5 scallions (bottoms removed and chopped)
16 oz of canned crab meat
1 palm-ful of fresh chopped Parsley
1/2 cup of mayo
1 teaspoon of Old Bay
salt & pepper to taste
1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce
1 egg beaten
1 squirt of fresh lemon juice
2 cups of Panko bread crumbs
Olive oil for frying
For serving: I used whole wheat buns, but you can use any of your choice. Lettuce, tomato & red onions sliced.
In a large bowl, first mix together the scallions, parsley, mayo, Old Bay, salt & pepper, Worcestershire, lemon juice, and egg. Next fold in and mix the crab meat and bread crumbs.
Next shape and form the mixture into about 6-8 patties and cook on a lightly oiled pan over medium high heat until brown, about 5 minutes each side. I used a griddle to cook them all at once.
While the burgers are cooking you are going to make the sauce.
Sauce:
1/2 cup mayo
1/2 cup sour cream
1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard
1 squirt of fresh lemon juice
salt & pepper to taste
1 teaspoon of fresh dill
Dash of cayenne pepper (optional)
Serve each burger on a bun with lettuce, tomato, and sliced red onions, then a dollop of sauce on top.
Enjoy!!!
