I was loaned this 2014 Kia Soul for a week to test drive and facilitate this review. All opinions expressed here are my own!
2014 Kia Soul Review
Almost two weeks ago, my family had the opportunity to zip around the city in the cute, fun, and family friendly Inferno Red, 2014 Kia Soul! The weekend the car arrived, I was scheduled to attend the Mom 2.0 Summit blogger conference at the Ritz Carlton in Buckhead. The conference lasted three days, and I juggled between mom duties and blog life for the duration. This fully loaded Kia Soul made my life 10x easier with all of it’s awesome features.
One of the first things I noticed about the 2014 Kia Soul that I absolutely loved was the Smart Key Remote. With the Smart Key Remote, I never had to take the key out of my purse. As long as the key was in reasonable proximity of the car, I could easily get in and out and use the Push-Button Start to get going.
The steering wheel is equipped with lots of features to make your drive easier, such as the mounted audio & cruise control buttons. You also have the option to use BLUETOOTH Wireless Connectivity for hands free talking from your cell, as well as syncing your Pandora Stations from your phone straight to the car. The full touch screen panel was a plus as well. You can control your GPS navigation, radio, phone, and temperature all in the same place. This is especially important for a mom like me who likes to make things simple.
The full Panoramic Sunroof was a big hit with everyone, as you can see! I really liked how it allowed a lot of light into the car, but it’s fully adjustable with the Power Sunshade.
The trunk doesn’t appear to be very large, but looks can be deceiving. The base lifts up to reveal several compartments for more storage. If even more storage is needed, the base and compartments can be removed completely. I filled the trunk with all my swag bags from the Mom 2.0 Summit conference.
The 2014 Kia Soul was great on gas and gets about 24 MPG city, and 30 on the highway. This particular Soul starts around $18,200 MSRP.
I had a great time testing out the cute, fun, and family friendly 2014 Kia Soul, and my kids loved it too! Thanks to the people at KIA and STI for the opportunity! For more info on the great features on the Kia Soul visit kia.com!
